I mean, c'mon, girls like homework and boys don't? Of course, I often have mixed feelings about the gender roles in this comic, because Calvin isn't held up as the paragon of all things good--but he is held up as possessing the childlike qualities that we might encourage in ourselves (i.e. don't just sit and do homework! run about and play!). So, even though he and his boys-only club are later portrayed as self-serving and silly (in the bad way), it's still sorta disappointing...
